Luca Marini stresses the importance of Valentino Rossi even after retiring from MotoGp

Luca Marini, with Sportal.it, spoke on the sidelines of his participation at EICMA about the importance of his brother Valentino Rossi to the young products of the Academy and how, even though he stays away from racing, he manages to give them valuable advice to deal with the difficult commitment of MotoGp.

“When he’s not there with us he has a hard time expressing opinions and giving us advice like he did when he was racing,” began the ‘Doctor’s’ brother, a rider for the Mooney VR46 team: back then we always met in the evening in his motorhome and talked about tires, the track, strategies. We discussed more easily when he was in our world: however, every time he comes to watch a race he always suggests something, having an analytical eye and knowing MotoGp perfectly.”

“Looking from the outside he can see things that others cannot see,” Marini added, “so he is always important both on a technical and human level. In terms of how he conveys his experience, he has always been a very important figure.”
