Andrea Barzagli believes in the comeback

Andrea Barzagli, a former Juventus defender, gave an interview to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which he spoke about Juventus, which is making a clear comeback in the league after a rather complicated start.

“In January it will be another championship and Juve this time will have to be careful to get off to a good start,” Barzagli began. “In fact, the team has always cashed in little, as with 7 goals it is the best defense in the league, however, at the beginning it was lighter and conceded more situations. The change of module has given more balance: if you play with four you must also have full-backs, Kostic at full-back has more space and Cuadrado is also benefiting.”

“Juve has a very experienced coach like Allegri and some valuable men in the locker room,” continued the former Juve defender. “So far Napoli has been clearly superior to everyone in terms of play and results, but after the World Cup a second championship will open: they will miss more than half the round and it is an unknown for everyone, because we do not know how the players will come back. With Chiesa, Pogba and Di Maria Allegri will have more quality. Sunday’s match will be crucial for the Bianconeri.”

Finally, he commented on the Europa League: “It is a competition that forces you to travel on Thursdays and to make turnover. Juve, however, has a roster that can afford it and will not go to make an impression. They will put it among their goals, although it matters more to hit the Champions League and try to fight for the Scudetto.”
