Reggio Emilia full throttle for Ruzzier

Unahotels Reggio Emilia is working to modify its roster. Two players are reportedly on their way out, Kassius Robertson, and DJ Funderburk, who seems destined to move to Israel, to Hapoel Holon. According to the Resto del Carlino, negotiations with Georgian forward Beka Burjanadze, outgoing from Betis Seville, would be very advanced.

Among the outfielders, however, the target is Michele Ruzzier for whom there is talk of an agreement until June 2024. The main stumbling block for the Julian player, who is also being followed by Trieste (where he played from 2011 to 2014), is of an economic nature, with Reggio reasoning about whether or not to take on the contract currently with Virtus Bologna.

Last season, Virtus Bologna saw the confirmation of the Scudetto won in 2021 slip away only in the playoff final, lost 4-2 to Olimpia Milano. The highlight of the Felsinians’ year, however, came on May 11, with the conquest of the Eurocup, won in the final against the Turkish Bursaspor. This success gave Scariolo’s men a pass for the 2022-23 Euroleague season, a competition the Bolognese had not participated in for 14 years.
