Novak Djokovic in Turin for ATP Finals: love messages to Italy
A first message of love toward Italy.
Novak Djokovic speaks clearly to fans in Turin upon arriving in our country for the ATP Finals. “Coming back to Italy is always a pleasure for me, because here I feel like home. Then here the arena is wonderful and they treat us in a special way,” said the Serb speaking to ‘SuperTennis’ on media day at the PalaAlpitour.
Djokovic then reviewed his 2022, which was definitely complicated before his triumph at Wimbledon: “Winning made me feel freer. In fact in the last few tournaments my performance has been really good. Now the past is behind me, but I hope at the ATP Finals to be able to regain my best tennis. I want to do well in this event, which has great prestige.”
“I struggled to stay calm on the court,” Djokovic later admitted, “It had become a challenge with everything going on outside. Then, on the upcoming challenge to Stefanos Tsitsipas: “I managed to beat him in both Astana and Paris-Bercy, but they were two very close matches. It will be tough here as well.”
