Sampdoria, stadium garrison: fans leave Marassi after two hours
The protest came to a close.
Sampdoria fans have cleared the exits of Genoa’s Ferraris stadium after a garrison that lasted about two hours. Ansa reports. The supporters of the Doriana team, about 200 in number, had started the protest after the Ligurians’ home defeat against Lecce: moreover, the 2-0 home loss represents the fourth consecutive knockout.
The 200 Sampdoria supporters had gathered in Corso De Stefanis, where the exit used by the teams to reach the coaches is located. As explained by ‘Il Secolo XIX,’ a fan via megaphone had stated the goal of the initiative: to block the team inside the facility. So the garrison ended without consequences.
In fact, Ansa added that the Sampdoria fans decided independently to dissolve the blockade, thanks to the work of police forces and in particular men from Digos. According to the agency, the blucerchiati walked away from the Marassi stadium without having any confrontation with the officials.
