Second Spaniard to win SBK after Checa

Bautista’s big dream has come true. In Indonesia, thanks to his second place in Race 2, the Spaniard mathematically won the SBK World Championship title. He is the second Spanish rider to win this important trophy after Checa in 2011. Bautista was very good, not forcing more than necessary but managing the race in the best possible way.

After Bagnaia’s victory in MotoGP; comes the title in SBK with Bautista for a Ducati rainbow double from science fiction. The Spaniard, with only one round still to go (Phillip Island), has an impressive 14 wins and 29 podiums this season. A triumphant march that the newly crowned SBK World Champion will try to make even more special in the final round with the World Championship already in his pocket.
