Martin Brundle’s words

Martin Brundle in his regular editorial for Sky Sports F1 harshly criticized the behavior of Max Verstappen, who failed to pass teammate Sergio Perez in Brazil.

“This is not a popularity contest, it’s the brutal world of F1, but it still takes friends and respect. Granting Sergio a paltry sixth place now that the championship is already in the bag would have cost Max nothing. This is the second boomerang in two races that backfired on Max.”

It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
