It can hardly be said that Alex Marquez’s three years in MotoGp, riding for Honda, have been satisfactory: the brother of Marc, world champion in Moto3 in 2014 and in Moto2 in 2019, in the premier class has gone only twice to the podium, in the 2020 season, and in the world rankings he has not gone higher than 14th place, always obtained in his first season in MotoGp.

A few days after his debut with Ducati in the end-of-season tests in Valencia, Alex Marquez wasted no opportunity to talk about his experience with Honda and the results below expectations in a 2022 in which he only twice managed to finish in the top 10 and never in the top 5.

“I never felt productive in Honda – his very harsh words, released to the portal ‘Motorsport.com’ -, it is always difficult for a rider. In HRC they only react when Marc is there, when things get complicated. If no one is heard, they sleep. This is the reality, it has been seen this season. The improvements only came when Marc said what was needed.”
