Bertolucci spoke about the new phenomena on the world stage

Paolo Bertolucci, former tennis player and now commentator for Sky Sports gave an interview to the microphones of SerieANews.com in which he touched on various topics, including the changing of the guard that is taking place in the tennis world with Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz leading the way.

The Italian tennis legend began with a comment on the ATP Finals in Turin: “The Atp Finals is a beautiful event, with a very high level of play and we can absolutely be satisfied with these first days. Sorry for Nadal, but we have to applaud these young people, I think of Fritz and Auger-Aliassime who are expressing a very high level of tennis.”

He then pointed out the aforementioned changing of the guard: “This turnover has been going on for a few years now, only there was such a rush. Aliassime for example has been on the circuit for 4 years and now it seems like he’s been here a long time, in fact he’s only 22 years old. Then let’s not talk about Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, they didn’t come here but they are proof of this turnover, it’s there by necessity and it’s normal. In the end what has not been normal is to have had three tennis players at the top for so long.”

Finally a line on Milan: “We needed to stop and rest, the goal that came in extremis allows the team to reprogram everything without problems and to start again in the best way. However repeating is not easy, in the end only one team wins the Scudetto, not 4 or 5.”
