F1, Toto Wolff wants to ruin the weekend for Ferrari
Toto Wolff has Ferrari in his sights
Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has not yet given up hope of snatching second place from Ferrari in the world Constructors’ standings. After the Russell-Hamilton one-two in the Brazilian Grand Prix, the German team is only 19 points behind the Redhead.
Ahead of the final round of the season in Abu Dhabi, the Brackley-based team boss said, “We still have a chance to take second place in the championship and the gap to Ferrari is the smallest it has been all year. We hope to maintain this positive momentum to end the year on a high note.”
“We don’t expect to be as competitive in Abu Dhabi because of the characteristics of the circuit. But given the surprises we’ve had this year with the W13, we’ll just have to wait and see,” Wolff continued.
“Getting a one-two in Brazil was an incredible achievement for the team, but it was made even more special by the challenges we faced this season and how we overcame them. The first win of the season is the result of a lot of hard work, dedication and determination from everyone. Our team never stopped believing and pushing,” Toto concluded, as reported by FormulaPassion.co.uk.
