Juventus is serious about Guglielmo Vicario
Juventus prepares plan to snatch Vicario from competition
The Juventus management has set its sights on Guglielmo Vicario, a class ’96 goalkeeper from Empoli, who is proving to be a level-headed goalkeeper and ready for the leap in quality, also giving continuity to the “made in Italy” project that has distinguished the Turin club over the years.
Negotiations could get into full swing as early as January, with the Bianconeri ready to put on the table an offer ranging from 15 to 20 million euros, a figure that would fulfill the demands of the Tuscan team and erase the hopes of Roma and Tottenham, teams very interested in the player.
It would be a major blow for the Old Lady, who would be considering Szczesny’s transfer in the summer of 2023, rejuvenating the department and going to compose an all-Italian pair. It is not excluded that Vicario will land in Turin only at the end of this season, finishing the current championship with the Tuscans.
