F1, Marko fulminates Lewis Hamilton: “Enough”
Lewis Hamilton had spoken of “manipulated 2021 title”: Marko’s response
Red Bull executive Helmut Marko has sent a dig at Lewis Hamilton, who a few days ago had returned to the subject of the 2021 F1 title decided in Abu Dhabi, talking about a “manipulated World Championship.” The Austrian team’s adviser to Sky Germany responded in kind to the Mercedes driver: “I don’t understand at all what Hamilton wants to say every time he makes such statements. The race director made his decision, and the fact that two cars did not split made no difference.”
“Now we prefer to look to the future. That championship is decided and finished, you can’t keep talking about it, that’s enough now,” Marko cut it short.
It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
