Matt Brase highlights Varese’s extra weapon

At the end of the win against Venice, Varese coach Matt Brase said, “It was a very hard-fought game by both teams until the end; we started a little slow at the beginning but we managed to put our heads back ahead. They started better in the third quarter however then we managed to take it home in the end.”

“I have to give big credit to the players because in addition to working for what is their tactical role on the court, they managed to help and support each other bringing home the victory together. I am very proud of this team. After the Scafati win we took off a couple of days, but when we came back we immediately worked very hard and the result is what we saw on the court tonight; I think they understood what their path in this league must be.”

Brase then highlighted his team’s greatest weapon: “This win also comes thanks to the support of our wonderful crowd. I can objectively say that our arena is the warmest and most beautiful to play in in all of Italy.”
