F1, good news for Charles Leclerc and Ferrari
Good news for Charles Leclerc and Ferrari: a nice promotion in the special report card of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. “This has been a difficult season for Leclerc, who started the year leading the championship with 46 points but dropped out of the title fight and had to change target and fight for second place,” reads the official F1 website.
“The Ferrari driver managed his tires brilliantly in Abu Dhabi, with the team also getting the strategy right, and this helped him take second place – Ferrari’s best finish at Yas Marina since 2018. The second position is also his best finish in the championship (P4 was his previous best) while the podium finish was his sixth in the last eight races. And second place in the championship is Ferrari’s best result since 2019.”
Formula 1 also promoted Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Alpine, Alfa Romeo and Sebastian Vettel. In contrast, Sergio Perez, Mercedes, Nicholas Latifi, Alpha Tauri and Mick Schumacher failed.
