Through a note published on its official website, Fiorentina released the condition of Nico Gonzalez: “ACF Fiorentina announces that, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, the footballer Nicolas Gonzalez underwent a series of clinical and instrumental evaluations that confirmed the second-degree injury of the myotendinous junction of the biceps femoris of the left thigh that occurred during the last training session with the Argentine national team. The player has already begun the therapeutic and rehabilitative course and will be reevaluated over the next few weeks.”

Raised in the youth ranks of Argentinos Juniors, Nico Gonzalez made his first-team debut on Aug. 28, 2016 in the 2-2 draw against San Martín. At the end of the season, the Bichos won promotion to the Primera División also thanks to one of his goals. Before coming to Italy, he also played for Stuttgart from 2018 to 2021.
