Euro 2032 to Italy and Turkey, è official. The 10 candidate stadiums

Italy and Turkey will host the 2032 European Football Championships: making the official announcement was Uefa, which also announced the awarding of Euro 2028 to Great Britain and Ireland.

Having found the agreement with Turkey for the joint bid, the green light from Uefa was now certain. Now the ten facilities that will host the event, five Italian and five Turkish, must be indicated by 2026.

Thusì Fifa council deputy member Evelina Christillin: "Only five citiesà will be able to host the European. È an agreement made in Uefa by the Italian and Turkish federations, although there’s still no final choice on the five cities. There’ll be some kind of contest: a way to compete to renovate or make entirely new stadiums, which are Italy’s main problem.

The ten citiesà that will compete for the five Italian places are: Milan (San Siro), Turin (Allianz Stadium), Verona (Bentegodi), Genoa (Ferraris), Bologna (Dall'Ara), Florence (Franchi), Rome (Olimpico), Naples (Maradona), Bari (San Nicola), Cagliari (Stadio Unipol),

Italy returns to host the European Football Championship for the first time since 1980, when it closed the competition in fourth place (West Germany won).
