Mick Schumacher will be replaced by Nico Hulkenberg

Surprise words from Haas team principal Gunther Steiner at the end of the last Grand Prix of the season at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

In fact, the U.S. team executive wanted to thank Mick Schumacher, in front of the entire team, for what he did during the championship that just ended: “I think I can say on behalf of everyone that we wish you the best. You will always be remembered for being part of the team. Now everyone will go their separate ways, but in life we always meet twice, not to mention three times. I wanted to thank you for what you did for us and for giving us the opportunity to move forward. You allowed all these guys to move forward especially after last year, which you know how difficult it was, I couldn’t have done it alone. We’ve had some tough times this year, facing the roller coaster as we always do here. You are a part of this team, and I hope you can keep it in your memory. In the end, we are good, hard-working people, and you will remain one of us forever. Thank you Mick.”
