F1, Mercedes: Toto Wolff doesn’t want to forget 2022
The team principal of the German team does not want to forget about 2022
The season that just ended saw Mercedes finish third in the constructors’ standings, after finishing ahead of all other teams in 2021.
The German team principal, Toto Wolff, spoke to reporters present at the end of the last Grand Prix of the championship, at the Yas Marina circuit, where Lewis Hamilton was forced to retire and George Russell’s single-seater finished in fifth place.
The Austrian executive took stock of the season, in the words reported by ‘FormulaPassion’: “First of all we will put the W13s in the reception at Brackley and Brixworth to remind us every day how difficult everything can be. However, this is a season that has been character forming. It has not been pretty at all. So many mistakes were made and the car was not in its right place. The confirmation came again today: one driver retired, mind the other ran out of tires. An accurate summary of the season.”
