Between Denmark and Tunisia, no one wins
In the first match of Group D Denmark and Tunisia did not go beyond 0-0. Overall it was a lively game, especially in the first half. Eriksen and his teammates had the ball of the game but the Eagles of Carthage created several chances especially with Jebaili (who was also disallowed a goal).
In the second half, Kasper Hjulmand’s men continued to excel in ball possession and also scored through Skov Olsen, which was nullified by referee Ramos for offside by Damsgaard. Tunisia lowered its center of gravity and managed to win a valuable point. Big thrill in the final: in the dying minutes, the referee viewed the VAR for an alleged penalty kick in favor of Denmark. After the consultation, however, he decided to restart the game.
The second match of the group, in which France and Australia will face each other, is scheduled for Tuesday evening at 8 p.m.
