Germany anxious: Leroy Sané stops.
Injury for Leroy Sané
Germany anxious. In the training session ahead of the World Cup opener in Qatar, scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 23, at 2 p.m. Italian time against Japan, German national team coach Hans-Dieter Flick lost one of his key men to injury: Leroy Sané. The German offensive outfielder, who plays for Bayern Munich, felt a problem in his right knee that forced him to leave the session.
Definitely bad news for Germany and its coach, communicated by the German national team itself via a tweet posted on its official account: “Leroy Sané misses training and will miss the game against Japan.” Certain of his absence against the Japanese national team, Sané will try to return in the upcoming challenges, but it cannot be ruled out that the class ’96 could say goodbye to the World Cup without having played a single game.
