Luciana Linck, beautiful and competent: “Italy is not here: cheer on my Brazil.”

Hard to say no and say no to her appeal. Luciana Linck Abati, a Brazilian television journalist, with Sportal.co.uk spoke about the World Cup that has just begun and has already given a giant surprise with Argentina’s defeat to Saudi Arabia.

“Neymar is the No. 1 point of reference,” she said, “He will be free to roam all over the attacking front and I’m sure he will be at his best with whoever he has by his side. He is my favorite, but of course there is more than just him. Take for example Thiago Silva, whom you Italians know very well: at 37 years old he is one of the best defenders in the world. Then there is Marquinhos, who has accumulated so much experience and is at the peak of his career. And then there are Casemiro, Paquetà and others: in short, we are very well placed.”

“In Brazil we are dreaming of the sixth World Cup won, 20 years after the one won in Japan and South Korea. Italy is missing and it will be sad for us Brazilians and for me even more, since I am Italian-Brazilian. So many of us are descendants of Italians. Regardless of soccer, Italy is a great nation, all to be loved, admired and above all respected for all that it represents. I am proud to be one of you, my roots are born here in Italy. For me personally, it will be a World Cup without a huge part of my heart,” added Luciana. Who closed with an appeal, “I really hope that Italians can cheer for Seleçao.” Does anyone feel like saying no to her?
