Olimpia Milano, Nicolo Melli bow-headed: ‘I don’t have the solution’
An admission that the problems are there, a promise to want to solve them.
Nicolò Melli came to the microphones of ‘Sky Sport’ after Olimpia Milano’s meltdown in the Euroleague, with Anadolu Efes able to win at the Forum with a score of 51-80, after the first half had ended in a perfect tie. And his words do not hide his discouragement at the team’s performance.
Melli’s admission is that of general problems plaguing Olimpia: “Offensively, defensively, attitude, everything. So there is not much to say, it has to be done. It’s not that we’re not trying, but we’re not succeeding. So definitely this is not good, but unfortunately I don’t have the solution. We will put our best effort to turn this situation around.”
For Olimpia, moreover, comes a decidedly complicated challenge, such as the one with Fenerbahce. “At this point for us all games become difficult and all games become important. Undoubtedly Fenerbahce is the strongest team in the current Euroleague. They say it’s raining on the rain. But for us this is an opportunity to make up for it, to at least show that we have character and that we are better than this thing here,” Melli concluded.
