The Saudi Arabia defender had been run over by his own goalkeeper during the match he won against Argentina
Yasser Al Shahrani, the Saudi Arabian defender who was run over by his own goalkeeper during the Qatar 2022 match he won against Argentina, suffered several fractures to his jaw and facial bones, as well as internal bleeding after undergoing tests in Germany.
Al Shahrani had been hit full in the face by goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Owais’ knee, which came out in a high grip: his World Cup is already over, but Al Shahrani like the entire Saudi team is already a hero, so much so that King Salman according to Bild has reportedly decided to personally pay for the player’s trip to Germany and the surgery to reconstruct his face.
Al Shahrani from the hospital sent a message to everyone: “I am fine, God bless you. Pray for me, and congratulations to the Saudi public for the victory, you all deserve it.”
