Dominik Paris on trial

Marco Odermatt set the fastest time in the last time trial before the men’s downhill in Lake Louise, Canada. Due to strong winds at the top of the slope, the jury, in agreement with the organizers, had decided to lower the start to the reserve start, from where the superg will start.

On the “Men’s Olympics,” the Helvetic tamed the Canadian snows with a time of 1’26″52, followed by Norway’s Aleksander Aamodt Kilde at 9 hundredths and host James Crawford – best time in the first run – at 26 hundredths.

Among the eleven Italian skiers present, the best turned out to be Dominik Paris: the Val d’Ultimo champion – ex aequo with U.S. Ryan Cochran-Siegle – settled in 12th place at 0″92. Just outside the top 20 are Mattia Casse ( at 1″15) and Christof Innerhofer, at 1″32. Further back Guglielmo Bosca at 1″74, Nicolò Molteni at 1″91, Florian Schieder at 2″03, Giovanni Franzoni at 2″22, Matteo Marsaglia at 2″40, Matteo Franzoso at 2″44 and Pietro Zazzi at 2″60.
