LBA, message of support for Special Olympics

LBA in support of Special Olympics European Basketball Week

During the eighth and ninth days of Serie A UnipolSai 2022/23, LBA and UnipolSai will support Special Olympics European Basketball Week by dedicating the MVP of the day award to its athletes. The Basketball League fully shares the values, the campaigns for the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and the ideas of sport as a vehicle for cultural and social growth of Special Olympics, which also enjoys the patronage of FIBA Foundation.

Special Olympics, through sports, aims to counter the marginalization and exclusion of people with intellectual disabilities by enhancing their abilities. The actions and strategies implemented have the well-being of the athlete at the center, involving the entire community. These initiatives represent a constant effort to increase social responsibility and raise public awareness, laying the foundation for overcoming any prejudice.
