Marta Bassino immediately second, what a comeback by Federica Brignone

Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami won in Killington, Bassino on the podium

Marta Bassino hit the podium in the first giant slalom of the season in Killington, USA. The Azzurra finished with some regrets in second place, just 7 hundredths behind the race winner, Switzerland’s Lara Gut-Behrami.

Third place went to Sweden’s Sara Hector, two tenths off the leaders. Good season debut for Federica Brignone, who after a complicated first run (thirteenth) shined in the second run by climbing up to ninth place overall.
