Virtus Bologna changes palazzetto: Luca Baraldi wants confirmation
Scariolo’s men return to Virtus Segafredo Arena
Virtus Bologna CEO Luca Baraldi spoke to the official channels of the Bologna club the day after the eighth consecutive league win against Brindisi.
The executive commented on the upcoming return of the Bianconeri team to the Virtus Segafredo Arena, after playing their home games, in this first part of the season, at PalaDozza.
“Our fans have supported us in our home games, especially in the Euroleague where we have already shown how Bologna is a city for the big and most important European stage. Now we will move to the Segafredo Arena which is our home and there too we want to confirm the atmosphere that in sports jargon is called ‘field factor’ together with our fans,” Baraldi explained.
Last season, Virtus Bologna saw the confirmation of the Scudetto won in 2021 slip away only in the playoff final, lost 4-2 to Olimpia Milano. The highlight of the Felsinians’ year, however, came on May 11, with the conquest of the Eurocup, won in the final against Turkey’s Bursaspor. This success gave Scariolo’s men a pass for the 2022-23 Euroleague season, a competition the Bolognese had not participated in for 14 years.
