Andreazzoli’s name had already been mentioned.

Genoa is coming off a complicated period in the league; in fact, the Rossoblù have lost three times in their last five games, picking up only two points.

A number of names have been floated in recent days for possible replacements for Alexander Blessin, in case of an exoneration of the German coach, with that of former Empoli coach among others, Aurelio Andreazzoli, in pole position.

There is, however, a new track that would lead to former striker, of Genoa and Milan among others, Alberto Gilardino. The world champion with the Azzurri national team in 2006 currently occupies the bench of the Grifone’s very Primavera team, and his promotion to the first team is to be considered should the difficulties continue for Blessin’s men.
