Australia-Denmark, the probable formations
Likely lineups
Last day of Group D. On the pitch at 4 p.m. Italian time Australia and Denmark. Arnold’s men with the victory over Tunisia occupy second place in the standings and can even afford a draw to reach the round of 16, provided France wins with Tunisia. Eriksen and his teammates, on the other hand, are obliged to win the three points to continue their adventure in Qatar.
Coach Arnold gives confidence to the eleven that beat Tunisia: confirmation for Duke up front, with Goodwin and Leckie on either side of him. In midfield McGree should still get the better of Hellas Verona’s Hrustic, while in defense there is still room for Brescia’s Karacic on the right with Behich on the other lane.
Hjulmand changes the center forward again: after Dolberg with Tunisia and Cornelius with France, it will be Braithwaite’s turn with Australia with Lindstrom and Damsgaard behind him. In midfield, Eriksen is untouchable while in defense Nelsson should take the place of Kjaer, who is not at his best.
