New hospitalization for ‘O Rei’
New hospitalization for Pele: the legendary Brazilian champion, now 82 years old, was transported to his country’s São Paulo hospital.
According to reports from ‘O Globo,’ the hospitalization was necessitated by a sudden deterioration in the health condition of ‘O Rei,’ who has long been undergoing cycles of chemotherapy to fight against the consequences of colon cancer.
However, Pele’s daughter Kelly denied from Qatar that the hospitalization was due to emergency situations: ‘My father is in the hospital for a planned course of treatment, I am not flying to him,’ she wrote on social media. My brothers are with dad, I will join him in the new year.”
