Vincenzo Nibali ‘terribly shocked’ by Davide Rebellin’s tragic death
Vincenzo Nibali expressed through social media all his grief over the tragic death of Devide Rebellin.
“I remain tremendously shocked to learn this sad news. May the earth be light to you, R.I.P. Davide,” is the message from the Shark of the Strait, who just like Rebellin has decided to end his professional career at the end of the 2022 season.
Rebellin lost his life due to the consequences of an accident that occurred to him while he was training: according to reports in Il Giornale di Vicenza, the 51-year-old was run over by a truck along Regional Road 11 in Montebello. Rescue efforts were useless.
