Sacchetti ahead of Latina trip

After a two-week stop in the championship, the second force in the Legadue green round, Cantù, is ready to return to the parquet and waiting for the Brianzoli will be Benacquista Latina, currently in eighth place in the standings.

The coach of the Lombard team, Meo Sacchetti, presented the challenge in a press conference: “Giovanni Pini is available, while Francesco Stefanelli has done three, four workouts in these days without stopping. We will evaluate in these hours whether to bring him with us or if it is still early. We come from a week’s rest, and I, as always, am not so much in favor of these stops, because they can create some rust. It will be important to be on the ball mentally and play a great game from a defensive standpoint, as we did at home against Novipiù Casale. It won’t be easy, as all the games played so far have shown. All teams are stimulated to give their best when they play against Cantù and Latina will also try to play a high level game. They are a team with good individuality in shooting and rebounding, we will not have to concede easy counterattacks. With the return of Stefanelli I will have ten players at my disposal who will want to take the court. That’s when we will see the true strength of this team.”
