Serbia-Switzerland: probable formations
Likely lineups
On the evening of Friday, Dec. 2, at the 974 Stadium in Doha, the match valid for the last day of the group stage in Group G will be played against Serbia and Switzerland.
Both national teams are still in the running for a place in the round of 16 at Qatar 2022: Dragon Stojkovic’s men are coming off a loss and a draw while Murat Yakin’s men won in the opener against Cameroon but had to surrender to Brazil on the second day.
Unlikely changes for both formations: the Helvetians will take the field with the classic 4-2-3-1 and there should be no changes from the challenge against the Greenoro, as far as the starting lineup is concerned; the Serbian national team will also not change anyone among the starting eleven, with coach Stojkovic seeming intent on fielding the 3-4-2-1 seen against Cameroon.
Probable lineups
SERBIA (3-4-2-1): V. Milinkovic-Savic; Milenkovic, Velikovic, Pavlovic; Zivkovic, Lukic, Maksimovic, Kostic; Tadic, S. Milinkovic-Savic; Mitrovic. Ct. Stojkovic.
SWITZERLAND (4-2-3-1): Sommer; Widmer, Akanji, Elvedi, Rodriguez; Freuler, Xhaka; Rieder, Sow, Vargas; Embolo. Ct. Yakin.
