A success that must represent a turning point: coach’s word.

Olimpia Milano crush at PalaSerradimigni, where the challenge against Dinamo Sassari ended with a wide 63-92. Ettore Messina, at the end of the game, did not hesitate to speak of an important test and one that must serve the team to raise its head again even in the Euroleague.

“It was very important for us to win like this,” admitted Messina. “We showed a good level both in offense and defense, and we were very convincing also on the individual performance front. Facing Dinamo in Sassari is never easy, especially after the problems we had in the cup. This success comforts us and pushes us to work even harder.”

Messina then dwelt on the performance of individuals, with the starters back on the court for a long time: “To keep saying that the three starting outfielders are not there serves little purpose. The others are more than good and they have to learn to find themselves. We need to turn things around, and I’m glad to have seen confidence and conviction again. We must not get depressed, but always look forward. Today we did that, let’s hope that on Thursday in the cup the same will happen.”
