F1, new challenge for Romain Grosjean
Former Renault ready for a new challenge
Former Formula 1 driver Romain Grosjean, who has raced for Renault, Lotus, and Haas in his career, is preparing for a new challenge: the Frenchman, who has raced in the IndyCar championship the past two seasons, finishing in 15th and 13th positions, will become an official driver for the Lamborghini team from January, debuting in the 24 Hours of Daytona. Then Grosjean will devote himself to the development of the new Lamborghini LMDh, which will debut in the FIA WEC in 2024.
Grosjean explained his emotions after the announcement, “First of all, it is an honor to join Lamborghini. It is an iconic brand for anyone who loves cars. I’m really excited about two particular factors: first, racing at Daytona in a GT3 that has won a lot, run with a really excellent team and teammates. The second thing that exhilarates me will come later in the year when I develop the beautiful LMDh and Lamborghini’s incredible endurance project. I hope the whole team can do well. Lamborghini is a successful brand and endurance racing is about to get really exciting.”
