Likely lineups

At 4 p.m. Italian time at Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan, the penultimate round of 16 of the Qatar 2022 World Cup will be staged: the one between Morocco and Spain.

Luis Enrique’s men come to this challenge after taking second place in Group B behind Japan. Few doubts for the former coach of Roma and Barcelona among others: the form used will be the classic 4-3-3. Ballot in defense between Dani Carvajal and Azpilicueta but also in attack, between Morata and Marco Asensio, with the former favored.

Regragui’s national team is one of the real surprises of this first part of the rainbow review: the Lions of the Atlas in fact qualified for the round of 16 from first in their group, putting Croatia behind them and eliminating Belgium. Specular formation for the Moroccan technical commissioner who will particularly rely on the right flank, composed by Hakimi and Ziyech, to unhinge the Iberian rearguard.

Likely lineups.

MOROCCO (4-3-3): Bono; Hakimi, Aguerd, Saiss, Mazraoui; Ounahi, Amrabat, Sabiri; Ziyech, En-Nesyri; Boufal. Ct. Regragui.

SPAIN (4-3-3): Unai Simon; Carvajal, Rodri, Pau Torres, Jordi Alba; Gavi, Sergio Busquets, Pedri; Ferran Torres, Morata, Dani Olmo. Ct. Luis Enrique.
