Giacomo Nizzolo is recovering from a compound fracture in his collarbone

Giacomo Nizzolo is ready to go again after observing doctors’ instructions to overcome, through conservative therapy, a fracture in his collarbone suffered from a bad fall in training in mid-November.

The former Italian and European champion, speaking to ‘Tuttobiciweb,’ confirmed that he is back in the saddle: “I’m fine,” he said, “After the accident I was able to get back in the saddle quickly and fortunately I can pedal normally. It’s clear I have to be careful and be cautious; I can’t force too much because the fracture is still healing but I’m confident.”

Nizzolo, class of 1989, has been racing for Israel Premier-Tech since 2022. Among his most notable achievements in his long professional career are the Italian road championships, won in 2016 and 2020, the 2015 and 2016 Giri d’Italia points classifications, and a triumph at the European road championships, again in 2020.
