F1, Mattia Binotto adamant about his future tenure
Former Ferrari team principal categorical about his future
Mattia Binotto’s adventure as team principal of Ferrari has recently come to an end. The Swiss-born executive held the apex position at the Maranello-based stable over the past three seasons.
In the recently concluded year, where once again it was Max Verstappen who triumphed, the Prancing Horse ended the world championship in second place in both the constructors’ and drivers’ standings with Charles Leclerc.
Binotto himself commented on the possibilities for his future, without hinting at much. “I am serene and still have not made any decisions about my future,” said the former Ferrari executive, in words reported by Leo Turrini in ‘Il Resto del Carlino.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One world championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance world championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
