World Cup in Qatar, Nicolo Barella doesn’t go for it
Inter midfielder doesn’t go for it
Inter Milan midfielder and European champion with Italy Nicolò Barella has returned to the failure of Roberto Mancini’s men to qualify for the World Cup currently underway in Qatar. The Azzurri were eliminated in the play-off against Macedonia, which was later overtaken by Portugal.
“I haven’t seen half a game yet, also because I can’t understand the feeling I have. I’m not lucid in front of this huge sorrow,” the 1997 class said in an interview with ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport’.
“They say the field is always right, but for me in this case it gave an unfair response. Today it was our turn, maybe tomorrow it will be someone else’s turn: whoever wins a European Championship or an America’s Cup deserves to go to a World Cup by right,” Barella continued.
