Manuel Neuer falls on skis and breaks leg: season over
Season already over due to skiing accident.
Manuel Neuer has suffered a heavy injury that will force him to cut short his season as early as this December. The Bayern Munich goalkeeper, fresh from Germany’s unsuccessful adventure at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, personally broke the news on Instagram: a fracture in the lower part of one leg came for him.
“What can I say, guys. The end of the year could have definitely gone better. While I was trying to clear my head on skis I suffered a fracture in my lower leg,” Neuer wrote, posting a photo from his hospital bed. Yesterday I had surgery, and it went well. Many thanks to the doctors! It still hurts me to know that the current season for me is over.”
“Be careful,” was the advice with which Neuer concluded his post.
