It will be tough for Nico Rosberg to replace Binotto

Former world champion Nico Rosberg gave an interesting interview to la Gazzetta dello Sport in which he commented among other topics on Ferrari’s delicate moment after the farewell to team principal Mattia Binotto.

“It is one of the most difficult jobs in the world. It will be difficult for Ferrari. Because there are not many people at the height in the market. This role is complicated everywhere, there it is even more so because there is incredible pressure. Let’s see what solution they will find,” said the former German driver.

“In F1, continuity is a value. I know that Mercedes and Red Bull have not changed most of the key people for 10 years or more. And that’s what Ferrari lacks,” Rosberg continued.

In contrast, he is in favor of Ferrari’s driver management strategy: “That is not the key to the change needed. You have to do like in 2022, leave Leclerc and Sainz free to race.”
