A return to the top will still be a long time coming, the world champion’s word.

Ferrari still inferior to Red Bull, but also inferior to Mercedes. That was Nico Rosberg’s view of the Cavallino’s chances of competing for the title in the 2023 Formula 1 season. And in his analysis, the 2016 world champion did not hide.

“Ferrari had been the first team to block the 2021 development ahead of 2022, and they had made a great start. But then they did everything wrong,” Rosberg recalled in his interview with ‘Sport1’ in which he also analyzed the arrival of Frederic Vasseur as team principal. “They were the fastest, and Charles Leclerc drove exceptionally well. Then they made so many mistakes. Of strategy, of driving, in pit stops.”

This is also why, according to Rosberg, the balance in the coming season will be different. “At the end of the championship Ferrari was behind, and they were not as fast as Red Bull. So I am not very confident, and I believe that the first challenger to the title in 2023 will be Mercedes again,” the German concluded.
