World Cup, Pierluigi Collina has chosen the referee for the final.
Poland’s Marciniak will direct the last match of Qatar 2022.
Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will direct the World Cup final between France and Argentina: this is the choice of Fifa’s head referee Pierluigi Collina.
The 41-year-old referee in Qatar has already directed both finalists, France-Denmark in the group stage and Argentina-Australia in the round of 16. Both national teams had won their respective matches. Marciniak, an international since 2011, has refereed two matches at the 2018 World Cup.
In contrast, the final for third and fourth place between Morocco and Croatia will be directed by Qatari referee Al Jassi.
