Genoa didn’t wait for January

Genoa’s first incoming soccer coup: in fact, the Rossoblù club did not wait for January to move ahead of the winter window, intending to strengthen the squad available to coach Alberto Gilardino, who recently took over from the exonerated Alexander Blessin.

In the coming days, in fact, the Grifone could define the purchase of a young defender who would broaden the choices for the former Primavera coach’s backroom: he is the central midfielder class of 2004 Alan Matturro.

The Uruguayan player is owned by the Defensor Sporting club, where he made his first-team debut in 2021. Genoa has reportedly managed to wrest the South American club’s yes thanks to a bid of more than three million euros for Matturro’s player card, who is expected in Genoa between the evening of Friday, December 16 and the morning of Saturday, December 17.
