Trouble for France: two defenders knocked out
Very bad news for France
With only a few days to go before the World Cup final, France has to deal with a virus. After Adrien Rabiot, Dayot Upamecano (who missed the semifinal against Morocco on Wednesday) and Kingsley Coman (put in isolation on Thursday), there would be two more sick people, according to L’Equipe.
They are Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konaté, the two central defenders who played as starters in the semifinal against Morocco. This is very bad news for Didier Deschamps, who still hopes to be able to count on them for the match against Argentina on Sunday.
France finished first in Group D ahead of Australia, Tunisia and Denmark thanks to 2 wins and 1 loss. In the round of 16 the French beat Poland, and in the quarterfinals they eliminated England. Thanks to the victory over Morocco they advanced to the finals, where Lionel Messi’s Argentina awaits them.
