Mattia Casse’s joy: “I dedicate it to mom and dad.”
Light Blue took his first career podium in the men’s downhill in Val Gardena.
Mattia Casse happily commented on his third place in the men’s downhill on the Saslong in Val Gardena, his first career World Cup podium: “I never gave up. I thank everyone, because I was also given the chance not to give up, but this podium I dedicate to my mom and dad: I wanted to do it for them.”
“Now we keep training with our heads down, there are still many good races and the season is still long. Up front I was planning not to overdo it at the lake turn, because I knew it would be a little bit of a grind to get back in like I did in the first race. I lifted a little bit and the rest came naturally, the skis were really good and with the change of material I got used to it really well. A nice realization this podium, I made a lot of changes this year after quite a while. I was coming from an injury at the beginning of the season, I’m finding more and more confidence,” the words to Fisi channels.
