Park City, big comeback win for Dominik Fischnaller
Azzurro was ahead of German Felix Loch (+0.185) and Austrian David Gleirscher (+0.204) at the finish line.
In the men’s single luge race, valid for the third stage of the World Cup, Dominik Fischnaller makes his mark by dominating in Park City at the end of an exciting race. After finishing third in the first run behind surprise Jozef Ninis and Germany’s Felix Loch, the 29-year-old South Tyrolean went down like lightning in the second leg, posting the fastest run time.
Behind the Azzurro athlete came, in order, Loch, Gleirscher and the Statuinutian Tucker West. Only fifth – first race of the season off the podium – Wolfgang Kindl, who still commands the overall classiifca with 310 points. Approaching threateningly, however, is Fischnaller himself, who now trails by only 15 lengths.
