Splendid Federico Pellegrino: beat the outstanding Klaebo in Davos
The Norwegian cross-country skier had not lost yet this season. Blue is about to become a father
Federico Pellegrino’s feat in the Nordic World Cup free technique sprint race run Saturday in Davos. The Azzurro managed to beat the Norwegian star Johannes Hosflot Klaebo in a sprint, thanks to a masterpiece race. Klaebo, a true ruler in recent years, was still undefeated this season. Third place went to Frenchman Lucas Chavanat.
“It’s unbelievable. But it’s always nice here in Davos. I feel at home here,” Pellegrino told Viaplay after the finish, “. I was uncertain whether to go because my wife is about to give birth, then at 3 a.m. last night she told me I could get in the car and go. It’s incredible, a dream.”
