Aleix Espargaró, the message to Aprilia is clear
A major relaunch, complete with an apology to his team.
Aleix Espargaró was among the big players in MotoGP 2022, so much so that he remained in contention for the title until the Malaysian Grand Prix. His enthusiasm for the growth of Aprilia, which welcomed him back in 2017, is now sky high. So much so that he has even apologized for some recent criticism.
“Currently I am much more relaxed than in the past, and I expect that in the future things will remain that way or even go on to improve,” were Espargaró’s statements collected by ‘Motorsport.com.’ “We have learned a lot, and I am extremely satisfied with this season. In fact, perhaps at the end of the year I was far too critical of Aprilia.”
“Maybe it was a mistake to say it openly, but it was what I was feeling at that stage,” Espargaró admitted. “That’s how I am, but I probably should have talked about it internally with the team. I was very competitive, but the stronger you go and get level results the more you want to collect more.”
