Argentina-France final, possible surprises: doubts for Deschamps and Scaloni
With only a few hours to go before the finals still several knots to untie for the two coaches
The countdown to Argentina-France, the World Cup final scheduled for 4 p.m. in Doha, is about to expire. Both Scaloni and Deschamps have some formation doubts that they will resolve in the coming hours.
Scaloni is expected to decide to play with a three-man defense with Romero, Otamendi and Lisandro Martinez. In midfield there will be no Paredes: De Paul, Enzo Fernandez and Mac Allister will act in the center, outfielders Molina and Acuna. In attack, however, everything seems to be decided; Messi will play with Alvarez.
For Deschamps, however, the doubts are precisely in attack: Giroud is to be evaluated, in his place in the left trident Thuram could play, with Mbappé moved to the center and Dembelé always on the right. Everything will become clearer in the coming hours.
The probable formations
Argentina (3-5-2): E. Martinez; Romero, Otamendi, L. Martinez; Molina, De Paul, E. Fernandez, Mac Allister, Acuna; Messi, J. Alvarez. Ct: Scaloni.
France (4-2-3-1): Lloris; Koundé, Varane, Upamecano, Hernandez; Tchouameni, Rabiot; Dembelé, Griezmann, Mbappé; Giroud. Ct: Deschamps
